Digital Domain, City University of Hong Kong Announce Scholarship Program to Identify Next-generation Film and Television Pioneers

Sept 25, 2023, Hong Kong – The School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) successfully held the “Hong Kong Film Series Opening Night”. During the event held in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the School, Digital Domain Holdings Limited (stock code: 547) announced the launch of the “Digital Domain Scholarships” at CityU. The scholarship scheme marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Digital Domain and aims to cultivate the next generation of film and television pioneers. With its expertise in virtual humans, visual effects, and visualization, Digital Domain is committed to providing strong support for this scholarship scheme, which will begin in the 2023/2024 academic year and will last for three years.

Digital Domain Receives HK$143 Million to Explore AIGC Innovation

Hong Kong – April 21, 2023 – Digital Domain Holdings Limited (“Digital Domain” or the Group, stock code: 547.HK) announced yesterday that the Group entered into a subscription agreement for 646,430,000 shares with Mr. Chen Li-Pai, the Founder and Chairman of ADATA Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code: 3260.TWO). The net proceeds from issued subscription shares will be approximately HK$143 million, which are mainly intended to apply towards technological exploration related to artificial intelligence, as well as scale its commercialized expansion of visual humans, visual effects and visualization.

Mastercard OFF CAMERA – International Festival of Independent Cinema

The 16th edition of the Mastercard OFF CAMERA International Festival of Independent Cinema is upon us. Throughout the years, the Festival has undergone changes and continued to evolve. From the outset, however, it has always provided information and commentary on the present state of the world. Addressing important current topics, the Festival has dared to go against the grain. It thus became one of the most recognizable events of this type in Central Europe.

Over the years, two competitions have remained the core of the Festival program: the Main Dramatic Competition “Making Way” and the Polish Feature Film Competition. The first of the two sections is a showcase of ten directing debuts and second films from all over the world competing for the Andrzej Wajda Krakow Film Award of USD 25,000. In the Polish Feature Film Competition ten most interesting Polish titles have a chance to win the Dominika Kulczyk & dFlights Award of PLN 100,000. Other awards include those for Best Actress, Best Actor and Mastercard Rising Star for acting debut. The winners are selected by members of two juries comprised of outstanding international filmmakers and experts.
